the CYBER SONG PROJECT

         'the CYBER SONG PROJECT' is an anti-cyber bullying campaign under the Web Rangers Philippines. Through this campaign, the group hopes to connect with the audience more personally. One major reason behind choosing this tool and medium as a campaign is because Filipinos are known to be music-driven and are very passionate about it. Through these original songs about cyber bullying, the group hopes to reach more people and raise their awareness. Aside from raising awareness to people, the songs are also aimed towards cyber bullied victims. The group hopes that they can reach out to them through these songs and give them the courage to fight the issue and talk about it with someone they trust. Many people are experiencing cyberbullying and they should know that there are a lot of people who are willing to help them.

 

           In this campaign, singers and songwriters can also take part by submitting their original songs through email and on Twitter using the hashtag #TheCyberSongProject and their songs will be part of the campaign playlist. 

 

         In addition to, the group also created a tumblr page on cyber bullying and on how to be a Web Ranger. In this page, people can learn more on how to be a Web Ranger, what to do if you're a victim and other important things to know as a responsible digital citizen.
